American Literature & Composition – gr 10+

Description:  In this literature based English course students will focus on reading and analyzing classic and engaging literature including poetry, short stories, and  novels. They will complete a unit study for each genre previously listed. Using Total Language Plus, a fully integrated English curriculum, students will fine tune their thinking and communication skills through American Literature.  Students will strengthen their writing skills by focusing on the most common essays: literary analysis, persuasive, and persuasive research report. Students must have internet access. The supply fee includes copies of worksheets and study guides. Study guides may be purchased here:
