Aides must sign-in each service hour to show attendance and completion of responsibilities in order to receive your monthly discount.

homeschool. In addition to the considerable opportunities listed above, we also have several
essential Board positions currently vacant.

Director of Marketing
Director of Programs
Director of Facilities
Director of Communications

We ask that you prayerfully consider utilizing your talents in one of these essential positions.
CERC greatly appreciates your assistance and servant’s heart in order to ensure a clean, safe and orderly environment in which our children will learn and grow. Sign up to volunteer by emailing

CTP Testing is now available at CERC!

CTP: Comprehensive Testing Program    Grades 4-10

CTP - ERBThe Comprehensive Testing Program (CTP) is a rigorous assessment for high achieving students in areas such as reading, listening, vocabulary, writing, science (online only) and mathematics. Verbal and quantitative reasoning subtests are part of the CTP beginning in Grade 3. The CTP helps compare content specific, curriculum-based performance to the more conceptual knowledge base found in reasoning tests.

The Comprehensive Testing Program is a product of the Education Records Bureau (ERBlearn.org) provided by Homeschool Testing Services for homeschool families.  See the ERB web-site for more information and Family Resources.

Testing dates are now available for 2018 for grades 4-10.  Additional grades may be offered in the future!

Through a partnership with Homeschool Testing Services, CERC will be administering the CTP for all families interested in this test on May 23rd – 24th (our Event page).

Registration is open through the Homeschool Testing Services site. (Pleases ignore all references to the Standford test). We ask all families to return to the Test Reservation Page, so we can plan accordingly.

Ray and Charlene Notgrass to visit CERC

e5210e7b-ef33-d936-064a-1a0011b0e31e

(from the Notgrass website)
Ray and Charlene Notgrass are veteran homeschooling parents who love history. They have enjoyed visiting historic sites around Texas. The photos above are from the Lanier Theological Library in Houston, the George H. W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum in College Station, and a point on the Chisholm Trail in Fort Worth.

They will be in Rowlett on March 4 with a fun presentation for parents. Ray will share fascinating stories from American history, looking at how faith, compassion, and determination have motivated people to work for the greater good. Charlene will talk about how you can use field trips near and far to learn about history, even with limited time and a limited budget.

When: Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11:00 am

The program will last about an hour with time to chat and ask questions. You will also have an opportunity to browse Notgrass History resources that help homeschooling parents teach the heart, soul, and mind.

You must RSVP: https://history.notgrass.com/texas-tour-rowlett
