Praise be to God who is always faithful!Shari
Today's sermon hit home for me! From Mark 9:14-24, the pastor spoke of doubt: "What Doubt Is," "Who Doubt Affects," and "Why Doubt Matters." Did the disciples face doubts of their own? What doubts did the father have in either of the disciples or of Jesus? The answer:
ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE FOR THOSE THAT BELIEVE!
The message I received is that we all experience doubt, but that experience of doubt can bring us closer to God and a stronger faith.
"We can learn to live with doubt, even when we don't have all the answers. Part of what it means to have faith is TO MOVE FORWARD, EVEN IN THE FACE OF OUR DOUBTS." In Two Minds Sermon notes 8/3/08
So my mantra remains the same:
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make your paths straight! Proverbs 3:5,6
Praise Be to God!!
Thanks for letting me share! Liz
