This course is designed to prepare the student for calculus at a slower rate for
better understanding, enjoyment and success. Topics include polynomials, rational,
trigonometric, inverse trigonometric, exponential, logarithmic, and other special
functions. The TI-84 graphing calculator will be used for this course. This course will
utilize the online resources MyMathLab MathXL® which is a powerful, online
homework, tutorial, and assessment system. It includes: video and/or power point
lecture slides, step-by-step examples for any problem, chapter reviews,
individualized study plans based on performance. Homework problems are
algorithmically generated and allows for instant help and feedback on each problem,
supporting mastery of each topic.

Materials needed: Precalculus, 2nd Edition Blitzer ISBN 0-13-101364-5; TI-84
Series graphing calculator; 3 ring binder, paper, pencil, 3 dividers, graph paper (may
be useful)
