World View Matters                                                                        Susanne Johnson

This three credit course is filled with engaging, interactive discussions of classical
literature, the Bible, world history, and a world at war-the battle for our hearts.
Study skills covered will include Cornell note-taking, annotation, Precepts Ministries'
inductive method of studying the Word, and SAT writing prep. Students will find they
actually enjoy such classics by Dickens, Dumas, Hugo, Harper Lee, Stevenson,
Tolstoy, etc. when they select from an approved list and report to the class including
the author's world view. The Word of God is the finest source of literature. Students
will learn and use the inductive method of daily Bible study as they cover Sermon on
the Mount for 10 weeks and James for 15 weeks.

Through instruction, the students will write 3-4 essays per semester to prepare them
