I Think, Therefore I Can (H.S.)
Trust in the Lord
with all your heart,
and lean not on
your own
understanding.  In
ALL your ways,
acknowledge HIM,
and HE will make
your paths straight.

A faster paced review of basic creative problem solving, decision making, and
organization skills, expanding the scope and depth of techniques of Think I: How do
you eat an elephant? We will learn how to tackle big projects and make them
creative, fun and manageable through a wide variety of problem solving and
decision making tips, tools and techniques.

Students will develop skills that are useful throughout all levels of school, as well
as real-life. Students can use these techniques and tools to : take better notes in
class; review, recall and study for tests; gather and organize information when
researching assignments; generate ideas and clarify thoughts when writing essays
and assignments of all types: simplify complex concepts, tasks, and assignments;
determine possible alternatives to projects or assignments; prioritize and set their
own deadlines for time management and assignment completion.

We will learn to apply these and other problem solving techniques to group and
team projects. Role playing, group and team activties, creative problem solving
games and plenty of "hands on" will help us USE what we learn to our homework
assignments from other classes. But, before we get started, we will get organized!
We will address each individual's binder, homework area, assignments, time
management and approach to studying - no more 'the dog ate my homework'
excuses!
