Trust in the Lord
with all your heart,
and lean not on
your own
understanding.  In
ALL your ways,
acknowledge HIM,
and HE will make
your paths straight.

PSAT/SAT Practice Lab                                               Susanne Johnson

As with any sport, we compete well only after repeated practices.  Jean Burk, Master
the SAT
, recommends 24 practice tests plus 3 hrs weekly review. Divide $80,000 (a
mid-range college) by the number of hrs suggested; God willing, students could be
earning $500 per hour.
This practice lab is also great preparation for the ACT and
Accuplacer!
A second session of practice labs will be available for another 10 weeks
before the October PSAT if requested.

    Prerequisite:  Master the SAT (May 11, 12 & 14--M,T,R--4:00 to 7:30)
teaches the logic behind test questions, the strategies and recurring patterns.
Each Q can be answered an average of 30 seconds.  Registration and references
for the 10-hr workshop in Rowlett can be found at www.collegeprepgenius.com.
Cost:  $99 includes books.  Parent, if room is available, you may sit in the first
    few minutes on Monday.

In October of your student's junior year, the PSAT earns the largest National Merit
Scholarships.  If entering 11th grade, practice, practice, practice until October.  Plan
ahead:  the ideal time to begin taking the PSAT is the 9th & 10th year.   If entering
the senior year, your student can have 3 tries at the SAT before applying to colleges
in January. Be prepared!
